This 87-year-old male presented with a complicated case involving ongoing and disfiguring ulcerations to his lower legs, lymphoedema and cellulitis. Diagnosis revealed some deep-seated problems, but two simple treatments and he’s back on his feet.

    • Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy (UGS)

After

  • Progress:
    • Completely healed ulcer
    • Outfitted with Compression Grade 2 stockings
    • Daily 30min walks
  • Prognosis:
    • Very good
    • 90% of cases are free of CVI at the 5-year mark
    • 1 in 3 patients require future UGS treatment
